Eva Stevens, chair of the NAIOP Research Foundation, shared how the Foundation pivoted quickly to provide insights and information needed for the ever-changing times we’re facing in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The NAIOP Research Foundation recently commissioned Steve Fuller, Ph.D., professor emeritus at George Mason University, to undertake a study of the mid-year economy and how its shocks may influence commercial real estate in the future.
The new NAIOP Industrial Space Demand Forecast has been issued, and the data suggest U.S. industrial space net absorption may decline to negative levels during the next three quarters. However, "forecast uncertainty rises with economic uncertainty," as one of the forecast authors pointed out in a recent webinar.
“Those of us who have been around a while have experienced multiple cycles and navigated the ups and downs that come along with them,” said Armstrong, NAIOP’s 70th governor and chairman at Ware Malcomb.
