NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, has named David Edwards, MBA, IOM, CAE, as vice president for membership and chapter relations.

In this role, he will spearhead the development of membership growth strategies, collaborate with the association’s 53 chapters, and oversee customer service to the association’s 21,000 members across North America.

“Dave’s widespread experience in the association sector, coupled with his robust background in membership and chapter relations management, will be essential to NAIOP building its North American chapter network,” said Marc Selvitelli, CAE, president and CEO of NAIOP. “We are excited to have Dave join us, and I look forward to his contributions toward the association’s growth.”

Edwards brings vast association experience, including more than 11 years at the National Apartment Association, where he spearheaded new organization, membership and affiliate strategies that resulted in record-high growth and member satisfaction.

He holds a bachelor of science degree in management from National-Louis University in Washington, D.C., and a master of business administration in finance from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
