Brian Schwagerl Named NAIOP Research Foundation Distinguished Fellow
The NAIOP Research Foundation announces the appointment of Brian Schwagerl, J.D., Clinical Assistant Professor of Real Estate Development, Schack Institute of Real Estate, New York University, as a Distinguished Fellow.
The Research Foundation’s Distinguished Fellows Program engages the nation’s foremost commercial real estate, economic and public policy experts. Distinguished Fellows contribute articles to NAIOP’s Development magazine, present to the organization’s National Forums groups, and provide advice, feedback and information regarding research being conducted on behalf of the commercial real estate industry.
Schwagerl is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Real Estate Development and Undergraduate Program Director at the NYUSPS Schack Institute of Real Estate. He is an attorney with experience working on land use, leasing, acquisition and disposition of property issues. He has worked as a senior corporate real estate executive in charge of design and construction projects at NBCUniversal and Hearst developing global corporate headquarters. He lectures frequently on Environment Social Governance (ESG), the "office of the future” in a post-pandemic world, and property technology. He earned a J.D. from St. John's University School of Law.
