DEI Essentials: Back to Basics

9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. ET

If time has taught us anything, it’s that making progress on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in commercial real estate is tough. The workforce deserves – and increasingly demands – meaningful progress, but maybe you aren’t sure where to begin. Maybe fear of getting DEI wrong has prevented you from fully engaging in the vulnerable work to figure it out. Let’s explore the “what, why and how” for DEI together in a safe, interactive community. In this session, we’ll separate fads from facts, the role of being bias-aware, and discuss how to embed DEI into your day-to-day working culture.

Speaker:
Rhonda Payne, CAE, Founder and CEO, Flock Theory

Presented by Trammell Crow Company.

5 Steps to Value Propositions that Sell

11 a.m. - 12 p.m. ET

NOW available as a webinar on Thursday, February 23, at 2pm EST.
Register online.

If we're being honest, the past few years have disrupted our association industry. Sure, many of us were on the path of digital transformation and rethinking our offerings, but we have now fast-tracked our need to evaluate our product landscape to match what our members and sponsors need. And with that comes the problem of pricing - how do we provide value and monetize what has been and what will be? Join us as we share the 5 steps your team needs to walk through for quantifying the value you provide to your audience and charge your share of the pie in your pricing. This 5-step process can be applied to sponsorship, membership, education, in-person events, virtual events, or the next big thing your team will create.

Learning Objectives:

  • The two types of value propositions you need to utilize
  • How to define your value propositions
  • Value-based sales and negotiation recommendations

Speaker:
Dr. Michael Tatonetti, CPP, CAE, Founder, Consultant and Speaker, Pricing for Associations

11 a.m.

DEI Essentials: Committees in Action

11 a.m. - 12 p.m. ET

You know diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) is important, but what’s next is anything but obvious. If you’re just starting off on this journey, we’ve got you covered with guidance to set a strong foundation. Have questions or examples to share, this is the place. We’re pulling back the curtain on some DEI do’s and don’ts in this interactive session. Want a peek? You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how volunteer leaders like you are stepping up to align intent with impact, navigating common biases and objections, adopting principles and systems of inclusive leadership, and prioritizing strategic initiatives that are evidence based.
