Chad W. Autry, Ph.D., is the Myers Professor of Supply Chain Management and Associate Dean for Research and Faculty at the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee. His research over the last three decades has focused on supply chain performance improvements stemming from technological, process and relationship integration. He is a leader or member of several multinational supply chain professional organizations and a past editor-in-chief of the Journal of Supply Chain Management.
John Condas is a partner at the law firm of Allen Matkins where he advises clients on federal, state, regional, and local government approvals, CEQA compliance and CEQA settlements to develop their real estate projects. He has successfully led legal due diligence and entitlement teams in nearly 200 jurisdictions and federal, state and regional agencies for projects throughout California and the Western U.S. Condas has assisted industrial developers and owners in due diligence, entitlement processing and CEQA compliance involving over 65 million square feet. He has been involved with the NAIOP Inland Empire chapter for many years, including serving as president in 2015.
Josh Cox is responsible for the execution of Hillwood’s West Coast industrial projects from start to finish including due diligence, entitlements, design, permitting and construction. As a LEED AP, he worked on his first 1 million-square-foot LEED Gold project in 2009. He started in the commercial real estate industry in 2006 and has been directly involved in the development of almost 20 million square feet, primarily in the Inland Empire region. He is currently working on the redevelopment of NASCAR’s Auto Club Speedway in San Bernardino County, California. He is an active NAIOP member who is currently serving as president of the NAIOP Inland Empire chapter.
Joe Dunlap is the Chief Supply Chain Officer at Legacy Investing, bringing over 30 years of supply chain and logistics expertise. He has a strong background in supply chain transformations, systems design, network design, 3PL selection, distribution operations, and site selection. Dunlap has led various consulting engagements and developed innovative solutions for clients across industries like automotive, consumer goods, retail and pharmaceuticals. He has authored a patent for automated source tagging and is recognized for his work mentoring start-up supply chain tech firms. His leadership experience includes roles at Accenture, CBRE, Dematic, Fortna, Siemens, and UPS.
Charlotte Elstob specializes in National Tenant Representation across the U.S., looking after key JLL clients with particular focus across the 3PL, retail and manufacturing sectors. She takes a consultative approach with her clients, understanding their goals and identifying ways for them to optimize their network and real estate footprint across North America and globally. Elstob is based in L.A. and sits in JLL’s Inland Empire office.
Before cofounding Constellation, Jeremy Giles spent 19 years at Prologis in a variety of roles. He headed the Customer Led Solutions team, serving the needs of the most prominent corporate occupiers of logistics space worldwide. He also led teams in the Central, Southwest and Southeast regions that executed more than $10 billion in development, acquisitions and dispositions. In addition to his nineteen years with Prologis, Giles also has prior experience in the transportation, management consulting, and merchant energy fields. He holds both a B.A. and an M.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin.
David Hickey is the global managing director of Hickey and Associates, a leader in location strategy, labor analytics, supply chain and logistics optimization, and government incentives advisory. He leads key client accounts and major initiatives for the firm around the world. In recent years, Hickey has led the firm’s robust expansion in the dynamic Asia Pacific region and navigated the growth strategy for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Prior to being a senior leader of the firm, Hickey managed legislative and regulatory affairs for an international organization representing business and agriculture cooperatives and served as a policy advisor for a member of the United States Senate. Now based in Phoenix, he is a frequent contributor in industry media and a featured speaker at business, real estate, and economic development events globally.
Timothy Jemal has over 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur, nonprofit leader, CEO, spokesperson and public policy expert on local, state, federal and international issues. He was hired in June 2020 as the first-ever CEO of NAIOP SoCal, the leading nonprofit association representing commercial real estate in the critical Southern California market. Jemal has led and advised dozens of nonprofit organizations and CEOs throughout his career, often serving as a mentor to them. He has launched and led both U.S. domestic and international nonprofit and for-profit organizations and serves as an executive coach for rising leaders. In November 2012, Jemal was elected trustee of the South Orange County Community College District. He has served as president of the board of trustees for seven of his twelve years on the board.
As Amazon's Director of Global Realty Sustainable Development, London Kemp Boykin oversees an organization that includes sustainability and renewable energy, building design & engineering, strategy, and cost optimization for the entire Amazon Global Fulfillment Network. She commenced her career in commercial litigation at White & Case, LLP, and went on to pursue in-house real estate opportunities, including management of multi-billion-dollar regional and global real estate portfolios for Walmart, NBC, Netflix, and Amazon. Kemp Boykin's expertise spans retail, restaurant-retail, distribution, data centers, studios, and offices. She holds a dual Bachelor's in Political Science and Comparative Women's Studies from Spelman College and a J.D. from USC Gould School of Law. Kemp Boykin was recognized as Commercial Observer's Power LA (2021-2023) and for Outstanding Excellence & Influence in LA Commercial Real Estate (2020). She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Real Estate Associate Program (REAP) fostering opportunities for minorities and women in real estate, and is a governing trustee for Urban Land Institute.
Mike Longo is an investment sales professional and a mutual partner within National Partners - West Region and the SoCal Capital Markets Team. Based in Los Angeles, he is responsible for managing the disposition of institutional commercial property across the West Coast, focusing on multi-market dispositions and capitalizations of institutionally commercial property in Southern California. Since joining CBRE in 2010, Longo has participated in over $20 billion of commercial property transactions.
A licensed architect in the State of California, Kate Lyle, NCARB, has been involved in the industry since 2005, specializing in complex project types including cold storage, food processing and food distribution since 2011. At her previous company, Lyle coauthored the e-book "Best Practices in Cold Storage Facility Development" for NAIOP and has also assisted in planning NAIOP’s I.CON Cold conference for the past two years. She sits on the Controlled Environments Building Association (CEBA) Board of Directors, is part of CEBA’s Construction and Codes Committee, and involved in subcommittees focused on food safety and requirements for ventilation in refrigerated facilities.
Ryan McEvoy is a leader in sustainable real estate development with over two decades of experience in high-performance buildings, renewable energy systems, and environmental stewardship. As the founder of GAIA, he drives innovative strategies to help developers, property owners and architects achieve energy efficiency, sustainability and ESG goals. Patrick Schlehuber has been leading Rexford Industrial’s property investment initiatives since 2009 and serves as a key member of the company's Investment Committee. Under his leadership, Rexford’s investment team has completed over 450 property acquisitions and dispositions, amounting to more than $12 billion and adding nearly 50 million square feet to the company's portfolio. With over 25 years experience in investment and finance, Schlehuber brings deep expertise across acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, construction and leasing throughout California. He is actively involved on the boards of NAIOP SoCal, NAIOP San Diego, the Foundation for Learning, Athletics, and Growth (F.L.A.G) and The City of Hope Los Angeles Real Estate & Construction Council.
Before joining Rexford, Schlehuber was an Investment Officer at First Industrial Realty Trust, a publicly traded industrial REIT, and gained additional experience in investment banking and financial consulting at RA Capital (formerly Batchelder & Partners) and Arthur Andersen. A Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Public Accountant (Illinois-Inactive), he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Notre Dame.
Eric Schmutz, NAIOP’s Senior Director of Federal Affairs, has nearly 30 years of experience working in Washington, D.C., in political campaigns as well as both the legislative and executive branches of the federal government. His work encompasses various aspects, including federal tax policy, environmental regulations, and financial services issues. Schmutz is a native Kansan, a graduate of Kansas State University, and holds an MBA from the University of Maryland. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife Betsy, daughter Eleanor, son Henry, and the family dog Otis.
Curtis Spencer is the CEO of IMS Worldwide, Inc. (IMSW), headquartered in Houston, Texas. Spencer is a nationally regarded expert on matters related to logistics and intermodal shipping trends, ports, inland ports and rail-served logistics centers and how they impact industrial real estate; development and utilization of Foreign Trade Zones for importers and exporters; and impact of e-commerce on logistics and supply chains and industrial real estate.
Under Spencer’s leadership, IMSW is now a leading consulting firm for developers and real estate trusts who seek his guidance as it relates to value propositions for industrial real estate, port efficiencies and site selection differentiators. IMSW has completed over 520 separate, specific FTZ projects.
Aquiles Suarez is the Senior Vice President for Government Affairs for NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, where he oversees the association’s advocacy efforts at the federal, state, and local level, and manages the association’s political action committee, NAIOP-PAC. Aquiles joined NAIOP in 2007 as the head of its government affairs office. Prior to joining NAIOP, he held a number of positions in the executive and legislative branches of government, serving on the White House Domestic Policy Council, senior counsel on the Financial Services Committee of the House of Representatives, and at the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Aquiles received his law degree from Columbia University Law School, and his undergraduate degree in government from Georgetown University.
Sergio Valentini has been involved in the industry for over 20 years and as the Southern California Regional Principal, he oversees all aspects of growth, management, design and client relationships for the Southern California region offices. He has extensive international experience in architecture and planning of various building types including office, industrial, entertainment, retail, mixed-use and aviation. Valentini is heavily involved with development, coordination and supervision of various scale projects for developers, corporate and public clients. He is also very active in the industry with various professional associations such as NAIOP, ULI, SIOR and more. He has lectured at several universities and conferences and has been on the jury of design competitions. His research work has been published in various magazines, and he has proven to be a true expert in the field and an industry thought leader.
