JLL Releases Office Fit Out Guide for US and Canada
JLL recently released the U.S and Canada Fit Out Guide: Office Cost Benchmarking Report that provides market analyses along with average costs to build three types of layouts in the United States and Canada. The costs projections are based on data from more than 2,800 JLL-managed project budgets provided by landlords. Office fit outs, also known as tenant improvements, include design, finishes and furnishings. The report includes an average cost per square foot matrix that compares varying degrees of office styles with “space quality and complexity.” JLL estimates that simple functional space with no enclosed offices would cost approximately $120 per square foot while top-quality, detailed project design with 30 percent enclosed offices runs about $216 per square foot.
