This tour offers a unique look at mega-industrial projects built at a time when large industrial had become scarce in the West. Participate in off-the-bus tours of two 2.5-million-square-foot projects recently completed in West Ontario, and two tours of recently leased buildings showcasing state-of-the-art operations. Engage in a discussion of land use evolution and scarcity in the Inland Empire, from dairy farms to residential and industrial.

Workshop: Industrial Urban Solutions
1-4 p.m.

In an era of same-day delivery, increasing traffic and expanding residential development in former industrial zones, how can industrial development respond to an increasingly complex environment and create new value? Join in an interactive design session where teams will unlock the potential of a redevelopment site located in Montclair, California, as we set new industrial precedents.

Hollywood Park Tour 
2:15-6:30 p.m.

The master-planned Hollywood Park community spans approximately 300 acres and is central to the Westside, South Bay and greater Los Angeles communities. One end of the project is anchored by a 500,000-square-foot retail and entertainment district that delivers shopping, dining, recreation, entertainment and nightlife. This retail district is complimented by luxury apartments, a 300-room hotel, nearly 900,000 square feet of office space, and 25 acres of green space. Adjacent will be the 70,000-seat NFL stadium which will serve as home to the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers in time for the 2020 football season, a new casino, and a 6,000-seat concert venue. Tour this massive project which boasts great design and cutting-edge technology while prioritizing opportunities for social interaction and cultural programming.

888 Douglas Tour

Hackman Capital Partners plans to transform a historic aerospace manufacturing and warehousing site into a one-of-a-kind creative campus, showcasing irreplaceable buildings with vestige keepsakes, tall ceilings, open floorplans, sawtooth skylights and expansive outdoor amenity space. Situated in El Segundo, across from the Los Angeles Lakers' new practice facility and the new L.A. Times headquarters, the 30-acre site has four buildings totaling approximately 550,000 square feet and excess land for potential expansion. Learn more in this tour of the property, which is unique in its massive scale, architectural features and vibrant location.

Hawthorne Flex Industrial Tour
7:15-11:30 a.m.

Get an in-depth look at the redevelopment of a flex industrial property that now boasts a diverse tenant base including a third party logistics company, a plumbing supply company, an art framing company, custom gift box company and a craft brewery. The project required substantial effort to get where it is today: Old landscaping and trees were replaced with drought-tolerant plants and drip irrigation, and parking lots and truck yards were repaired, slurry sealed and restriped. Building improvements included new window coverings, modernized entrances, polished concrete floors, LED light fixtures in offices, and more. Hear from the redevelopment project team and visit some of the tenant spaces, including an e-commerce company, yoga pants manufacturer, and a craft brewery.

Port of Long Beach Tour

Join the Port of Long Beach for one of their highly regarded Port tours. Aboard the 90-minute narrated excursion, you will get a closer look at operations at the second-busiest port in the nation. See towering cranes, the most advanced green terminal in the world, new infrastructure projects such as the Gerald Desmond Bridge replacement, and possibly even catch a glimpse of local marine life. You will also learn about the variety of groundbreaking green programs the Port has implemented to reduce the environmental impact of operations.

  3. Under "Registrations for Upcoming Events," find I.CON West 2019 and click "Edit."
