TJ Bard serves as the Executive Vice President of The Abbey Company. The Abbey Company is a privately held wholly owned and operated commercial real estate firm with assets located throughout the state of California. The company was founded 35 years ago with just one single retail asset and has since closed over 7,000 transactions with $5 Billion in value. The Abbey Company’s focus is on high quality value add assets for long term holding periods paired with a hands on approach to active full time management. TJ jointly oversees the company’s Executive Committee as well as sits on its Board of Directors. He manages the daily operations of the firm along with being tasked at implementing the organization’s strategic vision, goals and initiatives.
He first joined The Abbey Company 12 years ago as an Asset Manager after graduating from The Pennsylvania State University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics & Business. At Penn State, TJ was elected Student Body President as well as served on the University’s Board of Trustees and Alumni Association Executive Board. TJ currently serves on the NAIOP SoCal Board of Directors and as Co-Chair of the Legislative Affairs Committee. He is very active in the communities in which they own long term assets throughout California and serves on many community related organizations. He currently resides in Long Beach, California.
