Maria D’Agostini Lukosavich was born and raised in southeastern Michigan. She graduated from Michigan State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management. In 2011, she graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School with a Juris Doctor degree. Upon acceptance to the Michigan State Bar Association, Maria practiced as a small claims judge for the Michigan Tax Tribunal and was admitted to the practice in the United States District Court Eastern District of Michigan in 2012.
Maria now serves as head of the commercial construction team for D’Agostini Companies, a Detroit-based land development, general contracting, and property management firm. She has been a licensed builder in the State of Michigan since 2004, and is a LEED AP. She is a member of the Southeastern Michigan Building Official and Inspector Association (SEMBOIA), NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association, and she serves on Notre Dame Preparatory School’s Building Committee, an advisory committee to Notre Dame’s board on building expansion and maintenance issues. Beginning January 2025, she will serve on the Industry Advisory Board for Michigan State University’s School of Planning, Design, and Construction and she will serve on the inaugural Board and as president-elect of the newly formed NAIOP Detroit Chapter.
Maria is a loving wife to Michael Lukosavich and mother of five daughters.
