Rainer Muhlbauer, AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Rainer Muhlbauer is the director of architecture at BL Companies with over 40 years of experience in the field of architecture. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and holds an NCARB certificate with registrations to practice in 25 states and three Canadian provinces. His experience includes services in all phases of project development from pre-design through construction administration on project types, including mixed-use, industrial, retail, commercial and educational. He is responsible for business development and client care and leads the business development team in the Northeast region for the retail, commercial and residential markets. In addition to architectural endeavors, he is a facilitator for the company’s Leadership Development Foundations program and has served on the company’s board of directors. He currently serves on the Board of the Connecticut and Suburban New York chapter of NAIOP and was selected to the Architectural Engineering Program Founding Advisory Board at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts in June 2011 and continues in that role. He has a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
