Tess Wakasugi-Don started as an intern at GLY in 2005 and in 2019 became the firm’s first female and BIPOC Principal. She’s spent the majority of her career supporting clients in Seattle and Bellevue, and her favorite projects include Pivotal Ventures, Executive Office of Melinda French Gates, and Mary’s Place at The Regrade. Wakasugi-Don currently serves on the NAIOP Board of Directors. In addition, she has served on the Washington State University Construction Management advisory board since 2010 and has recently joined the ACE Mentor Program of Washington Board of Directors. In 2022, she was recognized as a Puget Sound Business Journal 40 Under 40. Outside of work she and her husband Jeremy keep busy with their three boys Seiji (9), Kenji (5), and Riyo (2).
