Benjamin Blair, Esq. has represented taxpayers – including downtown office towers, suburban office complexes, and industrial developments – in administrative and judicial proceedings in two dozen states coast-to-coast. As part of Faegre Drinker’s national property tax appeal group, Blair is on the forefront of assessment disputes involving the definition of taxable property rights, the separation of real property and business value, and value-in-use versus value-in-exchange. An avid speaker and author on tax and valuation issues, Blair also serves as the legal columnist for The Appraisal Journal. He is a graduate of the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where he also serves as an adjunct professor of state and local taxation.
