Dwight Merriman III

Dwight Merriman is a partner and head of industrial in the Ares Real Estate Group, where he focuses on U.S. industrial real estate equity. He also serves on the Ares Real Estate Group's Combined Industrial Advisors Committee (CIAC) Investment Committee. Prior to joining Ares in 2021, he was a senior managing director, Chief Executive Officer of Industrial at Black Creek Group, where he oversaw acquisition, asset management and portfolio management activities for all industrial investments. Since joining the firm in 2010, he has served in a variety of leadership roles including managing director, Chief Executive Officer for Black Creek Diversified Property Fund Inc. and Industrial Property Trust. In addition to his current role, he serves on the Board of Directors for Black Creek Industrial REIT IV Inc. He holds an MBA from the University of California at Los Angeles.
