Call for Presentations

NAIOP holds conferences each year that bring together industry professionals from all sectors of commercial real estate. Our conferences focus on forward looking trends and innovations, and our target audience is real estate developers, owners and investors; however, conferences are also attended by brokers, architects, contractors, attorneys, accountants, financiers, and economic development officers.

To be considered as a speaker, your session must be educational in nature. Sales presentations will not be accepted.

Conferences include the following session types:

  • Case Study (45-60 minutes): Presented by entire team that worked on the project and may include developers, brokers, financiers, tenants, architects and others. You will be expected to present challenges and solutions.
  • Panel Discussion (45-75 minutes): Formal presentations that should include 3-5 speakers with a moderator. The panel should shares facts, offers opinions and responds to audience questions either through questions curated by the moderator or taken from the audience directly.
  • TED-style Talks (8-12 minutes): Short single speaker talks on something that is new or surprising or a great basic idea with a compelling new argument.
  • Conversation Corner (20-30 minutes): Facilitated discussions about something new and trending in commercial real estate.

NAIOP will determine the final session type. Members of the conference planning committees evaluate all proposed sessions based on the following criteria: overall quality, relevance to the industry, well-defined focus, practical applications of material, timeliness of the topic, membership status, and speaker qualifications. In the event of duplicate topics being submitted, priority will be given to NAIOP members and NAIOP Corporate Sponsors.

Abstracts will be reviewed when the need arises for presentations for a conference, and you will be contacted if you submission is under consideration.
